The Tudor Black Bay draws on Tudor's diving watches from the 1950s and 1960s, reviving the broad snowflake hands, domed crystal, and vintage-inspired case shape that made those early references so distinctive. This reference 79230R pairs a black dial with a burgundy unidirectional rotating bezel, a color combination that nods to some of Tudor's earliest dive watches while giving this 41mm steel model its own identity within the Black Bay range. Applied hour markers and the signature snowflake hands complete a dial built first for underwater legibility.

Inside is the calibre MT5602, a manufacture movement developed in-house by Tudor, self-winding, and chronometer-certified by the COSC for accuracy. It offers a power reserve of approximately 70 hours thanks to its variable-inertia balance and silicon hairspring, and it drives simple hours, minutes, and seconds functions behind a domed sapphire crystal, with the case rated to 200 metres (660 feet) of water resistance and closed by a folding safety clasp on the steel bracelet.
