The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional reference 310.62.42.50.99.001 presents the chronograph that accompanied NASA astronauts to the lunar surface in 1969 in 18K Moonshine gold, Omega's proprietary alloy with a paler hue than traditional yellow gold and a high resistance to fading. The 42mm asymmetrical case with double bevels holds a sun-brushed Moonshine gold dial with blackened subdials and indexes, framed by a black ceramic bezel carrying a Ceragold tachymeter scale with the historic dot over 90. The caseback is sapphire and engraved with the words "First Watch Worn on the Moon."

Inside is the Omega calibre 3861, a manual-winding Co-Axial Master Chronometer chronograph. It is fitted with a silicon balance spring, resists magnetic fields of 15,000 gauss, and delivers a power reserve of 50 hours. The movement is finished with rhodium plating and Geneva waves on its bridges. The watch is paired with a black rubber strap featuring a lunar surface relief on its underside, secured by an 18K Moonshine gold foldover clasp.
