The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona has been the brand's benchmark racing chronograph since 1963, built for drivers who needed to measure elapsed time and average speed. The reference 116500LN, introduced in 2016, was the first steel Daytona to carry a black Cerachrom ceramic bezel, with an engraved tachymeter scale that resists scratches and fading. The 40mm Oystersteel case frames a black dial with three sub-dials for running seconds and the 30-minute and 12-hour counters, finished with applied hour markers and luminescent hands for legibility.

Inside is the Rolex calibre 4130, a self-winding chronograph movement developed and manufactured entirely in-house, with a vertical clutch for smooth starts and a power reserve of approximately 72 hours. Screw-down pushers and a Triplock winding crown seal the Oyster case to 100 meters, and the Oyster bracelet closes with a folding Oysterlock safety clasp fitted with the Easylink comfort extension.
