The Rolex Submariner, launched in 1953, was the first divers' wristwatch water resistant to 100 metres, and it has since become the reference point for the modern dive watch. Reference 126610LV, nicknamed the "Starbucks" by collectors for its green bezel paired with a black dial, is housed in a 41 mm Oystersteel case. The unidirectional rotatable bezel carries a green Cerachrom ceramic insert with platinum-coated 60-minute graduations, and the black dial features large Chromalight hour markers for legibility underwater.

Inside is the Rolex manufacture calibre 3235, a self-winding mechanical movement with an approximately 70-hour power reserve and a precision of -2/+2 seconds per day after casing, certified as a Superlative Chronometer. The case is water resistant to 300 metres, sealed by a screw-down Triplock winding crown, and the Oyster bracelet features the Glidelock extension system for tool-free adjustment over a diving suit.
