The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona was born in 1963 to serve professional racing drivers, taking its name from the Daytona International Speedway and becoming, over six decades, one of the most recognized chronographs in the world. This reference 126500LN pairs a white dial with contrasting black counter rings and 18ct gold appliques, a combination collectors have nicknamed the "Panda" dial for its two-tone look. The 40mm Oystersteel case is finished with a black monobloc Cerachrom bezel in ceramic, its tachymetric scale used to measure average speeds up to 400 units per hour.

Inside is the calibre 4131, a self-winding chronograph movement developed and manufactured by Rolex and fitted with a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring for added precision and resistance to shocks. It drives the chronograph's centre seconds, 30-minute counter, and 12-hour counter alongside a small seconds at 6 o'clock, with a power reserve of approximately 72 hours, 100 metres of water resistance, and an Oyster bracelet finished with a folding Oysterlock safety clasp and Easylink 5mm comfort extension link.
