The Patek Philippe Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph reference 5990/1A brings together two of the manufacture's signature complications in Gérald Genta's celebrated Nautilus case. Introduced in 2014, it pairs a flyback chronograph with Patek Philippe's Travel Time dual time zone system, making it one of the most functional references in the collection. The horizontally embossed dial carries applied white gold baton hour markers with luminescent coating, a skeletonized home time hand beneath the local time hand, and day/night apertures for both zones. The stainless steel case measures 40.5mm (10 to 4 o'clock) and keeps the rounded octagonal bezel and side ears that have defined the Nautilus since 1976.

Inside is the self-winding calibre CH 28-520 C FUS, a flyback chronograph with a central chronograph seconds hand and 60-minute counter, combined with the Travel Time mechanism for local and home time. The date is coupled to local time, so it follows the local hand as it is adjusted across time zones. The movement is fitted with a 21K gold central rotor, a Gyromax balance and a Spiromax balance spring, and is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback.
