The Submersible PAM01070 carries Panerai's dive watch heritage into a thoroughly modern execution, built on the brand's Italian naval roots and decades of underwater instrument design. Bold, legible, and engineered for actual diving rather than dive watch aesthetics alone, the Submersible line is Panerai's most direct expression of its tool-watch origins.

This 2020 example features the sun-brushed black dial, with luminous hour markers and dots for strong low-light legibility, plus a date display at 3 o'clock and small seconds at 9 o'clock. The 44mm case is finished in brushed Goldtech, Panerai's proprietary 18-karat rose gold alloy formulated for added hardness and fade resistance, with a screw-down case back finished in titanium with DLC coating for added durability and a stealth, tool-grade look on the reverse.

Inside is the manufacture Calibre P.900, an automatic mechanical movement built specifically for the Submersible's compact case profile, just 4.2mm thick despite the 3-day power reserve from its single mainspring barrel. The movement runs at 28,800 alternations per hour across 171 components and 23 jewels, with an Incabloc anti-shock device protecting the balance from impact, a meaningful detail on a watch built for genuine underwater use.

Water resistance is rated to 300 metres (30 bar), and the watch is fitted on Panerai's black caoutchouc rubber strap with contrast stitching in the brand's 24.0/22.0mm standard taper, paired with a buckle finished to match the case.
