The IWC Portugieser traces its roots to 1939, when two Portuguese businessmen commissioned a wristwatch with the precision of a marine chronometer, resulting in an oversized case built to house a pocket-watch caliber. This Portugieser Chronograph carries that heritage forward with a black dial, slim Arabic numerals, and railway-style minute track, all set within the collection's signature slender bezel and large, easily legible case that has defined the Portugieser line since its debut.

Inside is the calibre 69355, an automatic movement offering a power reserve of approximately 46 hours from a construction of 205 components. It drives the chronograph's minute and second counters alongside a small hacking seconds function, finished with a convex, double-antireflective sapphire crystal front and back, and paired here with a black alligator leather strap.
