Because what you build should outlast you

A Founder’s Vision for a Safer Watch Market

Why I Built Investment Watches

I didn’t set out to build a watch company.

Before Investment Watches, I spent my career in softwareβ€”building, scaling, and leading an international SaaS company. It was a path that made senseβ€”but not one I wanted to follow long term. But outside of work, I was already deeply involved in watches. Collecting, studying the market, and, like many others, navigating a space that was far less straightforward than it should have been. Operating at scale today, with millions of dollars in watches transacted every month across a global client base of collectors and partners.

The more time I spent in the industry, the more one thing became clear: buying a luxury watch wasn’t just complicatedβ€”it was risky. Authenticity concerns, inconsistent pricing, lack of transparency, and a fragmented dealer landscape made it difficult to know who to trust. Even experienced collectors often had to rely on instinct instead of clear, reliable information.

That didn’t sit right with me.

I saw an opportunity to build something different.

Not just another dealer, but a platform where trust wasn’t assumedβ€”it was built into every step of the process.

Investment Watches started with a simple idea: create a safer, more transparent way to buy, sell, and invest in luxury watches. From day one, the focus has been on doing things properlyβ€”investing in in-house expertise, building real authentication infrastructure, and creating a client experience that reflects the level of product we deal in.

Today, thousands of watches pass through our hands each year, with millions of dollars in watches transacted and advised on every month. We work with collectors and clients across the world, operate out of our showroom in Austin, and continue to invest heavily in authentication, service, and long-term infrastructure. As an official authentication center for Grailzee, we are also helping raise the standard across the broader marketβ€”not just within our own business. This level of responsibility comes from trust built over timeβ€”and from the standard we apply across every watch, not just those we authenticate.

We don’t just operate in this marketβ€”we actively shape it through the volume we transact, the clients we advise, and the standards we apply to every watch that passes through our handsβ€”and the expectations we set across the broader market. We approach watches not just as products, but as assetsβ€”where value, liquidity, condition, provenance, and timing all matterβ€”and where informed decisions make the difference. Constantly studying pricing and long-term value across the world’s most important watch brands, with the same discipline we apply to every watch that comes through our doors.

Trusted by collectors globally, with a growing base of repeat clients and high-value transactions across the market.

But at its core, the mission hasn’t changed.

This is about building the safest place in the world to buy a watchβ€”and the most trusted platform to buy, sell, and invest in them over timeβ€”at any level. Built for collectors who expect moreβ€”and designed to deliver it consistently.

Built for collectors who expect moreβ€”and designed to deliver it consistently. A company defined not just by inventory, but by trustβ€”earned, proven, and built to last.
